My Time-table

Got chem tutorials too... but only 3 sessions for the whole sem per mod... dunno when they'll be too... haha... so wont be putting it inside the time-table... anyway, the mtd to ballot chem tut are so stupid la... pass paper from front to back in the LT... if u sit at the other side means no space for the one you want alr mah! Sianz... that's wat happened for inorganic chem... in the end i put it on tues, 9 to 10 am? come to sch only for 1 hr?? Since it's only like 3 sessions, i'll let it pass... anyway, i intend to go and crash mon 9 to 10 am instead.... hahaz... since it's such an early lesson, there won't be alot of pple ard too... who wants to go to sch for an hr huh? Not me...

There isn't any MNO lect on the 1st week, which means yest was my 1st day of lesson out of sci fac for the whole yr (last sem all lessons in sci)! Hahaz... seriously it felt weird lo... to have nobody i noe sitting with me =( In addition, it feels kinda weird to be in an unfamilar place with so many unknown faces... almost felt unwelcome... wahaha... n the urge to skip econs lect is being triggered again... y do i always feel like skipping econs lect de ar? Just like during my yr 1 sem 1... lolz... think cos the lecturer always teach slowly? N the things like learn b4 le... though my it was like 2 yrs ago since i learnt all those stuff... 2nd reason i wanna skip econs lect is cos of the blardy long break la... i hate long breaks la... cos i always stone n waste my time only... n can't expect me to skip chem lect de mah... so is of cos skip econs lo...

Anyway, i didn't got for spectro applications lect yest cos of the performance... hahaz... i heard that the lecturer only taught for 1/2 hr on the stuff we know and it ended at 7pm... so the other 1/2 hr shld be intro? Hahaz... imagine pple who travel all the way (i noe there's quite a no. of them) and those like wee ni and vince we waited 6 hrs for that lesson? Hahaz...

Lessons for the 1st week are alr making me see lots of question marks alr... funny looking eqns (me ended up in a math class?)... symmetry in molecules... point vibration and watever stuff? Are they really chemistry? Yes they are.... =_+"

For this sem, me, grace, jas, sherlyn, shu ying and sheena decided to be healthy and thus decided to sign up for Abs, butts and thighs (ABT) workout classes on monday, 6 to 7 pm (eat up 1 hr of harmoc time, opps)... Been wanting to go for one of the classes since last 2 sems but can't find a good time... hopefully this weekly 1 hr workout will do us some good... haha... n i guess i should seriously consider going for a swim during my break on fri. Firstly can exercise which is something i really need to do... and secondly, it's more constructive than stoning or surfing net in the com lab!

Hahaz... i never blog for 1 week then suddenly such a long entry... bleahz... anyway, it's start of a new sem... i must study hard to pull my cap up to 4.0 and then get 2nd class upper honours! Hahaz.. just kidding! OKok... i am not kidding, but seriously i do not wish to pin high hopes on myself, only to disappoint later... i'll let things happen naturally...

What a busy week has been... haha... a harmonica week...

So on thurs it was the concert by Italian master willi burger... manage to catch glimpses of it as an usherer (for free!) lolz... i esp like the last piece being played. The title is Carmen Fantasy, a piece which we also played in Soiree 2006. However, the playing by him does give one a new feel, and i kinda like this approach too... with only the piano in the background instead of the orchestra. In addition, his was a fuller version too. Too bad never bring mp3 player inside to record! haha. My fav part is the 2nd section - Habanera, it's actually a very familar tune which most of us would have heard before. It's the tune being played for the pantene hair fall control shampoo ad.

Anyway, the burger man is an interesting guy... with his gesture to offer us cakes despite the lanaguage barrier and mannerism + friendliness while taking photos with us is just so funny. And i just want to mention that the translator's husband just looks so cute! Wahaha... with his curly golden locks and thick black framed specs... like those u see on mtv? It would be great if i can take a photo with him huh...

Fri was our welcome tea... in which zong liang's mum prepared delicious nasi lemak that we didn't really got to eat... it was snapped up by our guests la... but there's this container of very nice smelling curry like thing reserved for us... it was too spicy for me though... at the end of the day, we had like some nasi lemak left and played the classic zhong ji mi ma to finish it up... -_-"

In the end, i didn't go down for rag at all this week, except for popping by to take a look on fri night... n i didn't stayover... well... today was the faithful day and sad to say... we lost ='~( Shouldn't say much here i don't consider myself part of the rag and flag team (cos i nv contribute la...) but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... the sci fac will come back next year stronger in spirit! Kudos to all fellow flaggers too... for winning the best coin collection means that you put in the effort to seek donation from as many people as you can =)

After the rag thingy i went down to orchard to meet meng to shop for prezzie and then we headed down to city hall to meet hui hui... everywhere was crowded lo... initially we were early for dinner but in the end we only got to sit down at 8... haha... then went to stand outside marina square to watch the fireworks finale... it was quite a spectcular display... haha... too bad couldn't view some parts of it cos of some blockages... how i wished i had the time to go for all the displays...

Anyway, with the end of this busy week, the hols had also come to an end... I am not looking forward and neither am i excited about going back. after 3 months of hols, don't you just want some more of it?

9 August 2006 - Singapore's 41st National Day!

So on national day, the fateful public holiday cum a day for myself day, my trip outdoors started off at city hall, where we had our lunch at....

*Digression* Well, if you had not seen me in my short hair yet, here it is... anyway, i'm starting to like my new hairstyle... plus it's much easier and faster to wash... shortens my shower time! Wahahahaz...

And of cos, the ndp would not be complete without fireworks... well, we were sitting right at the very last row (if not how to climb up and take pics with the ndp background setting?) cos we blardy hell spent 2 hrs eating lunch and 1/2 gai gai-ing and only entered at ard 5 plus... and thus we were only less than 10 metres away from the fireworks! As a result, we were told to hold transparent umbrellas, or the people there instructed us to do so... this kinda take away 1/2 the pleasure of fireworks viewing... i dunno y too.... or maybe it's the fact that the fireworks were like coming right from behind me and thus isn't the best view? Anyway, i wanted to kop the transparent umbrella home but the army boy at the stadium exit asked me to return it! There are people who got away with it lor! Hmph!

I enjoyed myself for the ndp this yr. Though i wasn't really sure what went on for the show segment and it kinda ended alr... but at least i knew what went on for the parade... hahaz. Last year of show at the national stadium.... hmmm... How i hope i will have the tics to go every year! Hahaz... but no luck for balloting eh... once again i am so grateful for my lucky streak to get it from stb. =)

Waste time = waste money?

Hahaz... the statement that time is money is true... esp when the money is incurred as a result of wasting time!

Grrr.... ok, the story goes like this, I was supposed to reach school by 330pm today for Mr Willi Burger master class.... I'm in my super lazy mood man... dun even feel like stepping out of my house... so i was just lying on my bed, feeling the light afternoon breeze at 1 plus... so i guess i took a short nap and only woke up at 210... well, by the time i stepped out of my house, isit 230 alr? And i need to settle my lunch too... adequete time if i buy something to eat on the bus... but i am not in the mood to eat bread or burgers... so i dropped by the market to eat my fav wanton mee... which i queued for 5 to 10 mins... and ate for another 5 to 10 mins... grr... by the time i was at the bus stop... it's nearly 3 pm and i've yet to sight any bus.

Haiz... in the end i flagged for a cab... well, i'm not one who take cabs frequently... though i often mention how i wished to take a cab home.. hahaz... i'm quite thrifty when it comes to transport de ok... i take trains and buses... which ain't that cheap nowadays too... Argh... anyway, my cabfare amounted to $11.50... heartache... this can last me 3 to 4 meals in school? Sighz...

Anyway, i think our playing at the master class today kinda sucks... haha... we were like kinda uncoordinated... n section 1 being players of the main melody aint that loud? Somemore i feel abit irritated? Hahaz... anyway... there was the public seminar at night... and Mr Willi burger could not speak english... i think he was speaking in German and he has this young lady as his translator... i kinda have the feel like i'm tuning into an education channel or cnn... cos of the whole setting... hahaz...

After Mr burger pulled off the red cloth to launch his album and poped the champange at nearly 930, i left and headed towards Jasmin's auntie hse for her 21st b`dae celebration! Hehe... had to walk along the landed property and it was abit scary... hmm.... reached in time to cut the cake and eat strawberry ice cream. Hahaz...

Finally tml is a day for myself... or at least the activities are planned by me for me... lolz...I dun have a red shirt to wear to NDP! Haha... maybe will just grab one from hang ten or something. Happy National Day everyone!

N just one side track... today is the day when i had my dearest lappie for a yr! Yep... i collected it on 8th August 2005, the very first day when my lessons in NUS began. Heh.

Fireworks + very free or very busy?

Hmmm... like in the twinkle of an eye, the 1st week of my short rest is gone! Boo hoo! Time flies when you are slacking huh?

Anyway, went to catch the fireworks with sheena. City hall is just so crowded lo... the queues at every fastfood resturant is so horribly long... lucky we managed to settle our dinner at this kopitiam style place near a corner... had their curry chicken which is not bad... n the soup for sheena's prawn mee taste nice too...

After that we found a spot at the big grass patch beside glutton's bay and sat there to wait for the fireworks to appear... yest display by team Italy was magnificent! Especially at the moment where it seems that the whole sky is just overflowing with fireworks! Cool cool! There's so much more fireworks gg on this week i just wanna catch them all! However, i dun think i am free... duh...

Well, this week is going to be a packed week for me... I realised that there is harmoc EVERYDAY besides national day lo... so siong... aiyoh... at 1st i still tot i am very free... now it seems like i am super busy!

My schedule for the week...
Monday: Decorate activity room for Tue's event
Tuesday: Willi Burger master class + public seminar (with usher duty)
Wednesday: NDP parade! Definately looking forward to this, my highlight of the week. Fireworks, fireworks! N gg to eat at New York New York before that too.
Thursday: Usher duty for Willi Burger Harmonica concert... (haha... i dun need to buy tic to watch le... cheapo me...)
Friday: Harmoc welcome tea + stayover in school for rag day preparation
Saturday: Rag day!

And not forgetting rag which is operating 24hrs a day now... but gg for rag would be my own accord thingy... will drop by since i'll be in sch anyway. I seem to be so busy next week.... argh... cos didn't expect mon, tues n thurs activities... no time to slack le, no time for swimming and packing my table too! *Whines* I want more time for myself!

These few days...

I think i'm a 'must do something' person.... just like a wk like no sch/work and i am feeling so bored alr... hahaz... Anyway, tues was basically a slacking at home day for me. And on wed, i went to cut my hair... look at the volume of hair i had lost!

My hair!!!

Looking at the hair... i think it's more than the volume i am having on my head now? Haiz... actually feeling abit of heartache over my 'hair loss'.... Hahaz... at 1st i just tot of cutting my hair shorter... like somewhere just above shoulder length... but i didn't expect that upon layering, it looks as if i am having short hair! But it's ok, it will grow back very soon... hope that it will look like i'm having my long hair back again in like 2 months time... hehe... actually took a photo of me with my new hairstyle but dun feel like posting here yet cos i think i look ugly... haha... In addition, i think that i lost like 80% of my feminine look upon the loss of my hair? But Sheena says i actually look quite good... lolz

Yesterday was back to school for me... went back to rag for the 1st time since rag camp... hehe... spent like 3 hrs doing paper marche and can't even finish 2 sticks of the fence. Lolz... Then at night it was off to harmoc practice... but dunno y i was kinda breathless yesterday and dun really have the strength to play much. Anyway, i got the new concert scores too... which was like so super scary looking cos i saw so many quivers ard... like it dominate the whole piece... lolz.

And this sums up what i had been up to the past 3 days... hee

I love gatherings!

I woke up at like 1130 am today... lolz... but tat's cos i was bright awake yest and only slept at nearly 3 am... Anyway, i am enjoying my peace n quiet way of life of sitting ard at home... though i still kinda miss my working days... sighz... it's not that i miss working ok? Just that i miss the 'way of life' there... the going down to buy teh-c, gg for toilet breaks and talking + joking with colleagues. Sighz... nostalgic me!

Anyway, back to the main topic of the post... i love gatherings... hahaz... last sat went for 4/1 class gathering organised by hong sheng. It feels good that there isn't a sense of awkwardness though we had not seen some of us for so long... esp for some of the guys, think haven seen them since graduation bah... hahaz... We had fun bbq-ing and playing indian poker... which resulted in some scandalous forfeit which i shall not mention here cos i kenna one too. I hope more pple will turn up for the next gathering!

More than 1/3 of class 4/1 2002!

Last night was meeting up with the nemo peeps at raffles city cartel for dinner.... 1st they got our order wrong, and later on ryan had to wait for so long for his food... hahaz... sianz... after which we walked past city link New York New York! We shld had gone there instead lor... food looks more yummy n nicer environment... haha. Anyway, we proceeded to esplanade rooftop to chit chat... nice and windy place... good view for fireworks viewing too! Took some photos too but i dun have them yet, so can't post it up now.

We were thinking of having the next outing to go to the zoo or to sentosa! Hahaz... i hope the outing can be fulfilled... esp when sch reopens and we all start to be busy with our own things. And also, i hope the nemo peeps will still meet up now that some of them are going to have their new OG soon...
